If you're planning a construction in unincorporated Sonoma County, you're in the right place! Sonoma County requires recycling and reporting for all projects that receive a Building permit and are regulated per CALGreen measures. To make it easy, we use Green Halo—a free, web-based system to track and report your recycling progress. Here, you’ll find step-by-step guides, training materials, and helpful resources to walk you through creating an account, submitting your recycling plan, and entering your recycling tickets.

Whether you're a homeowner, contractor, or project manager, our goal is to make compliance simple and stress-free.

Let’s build a cleaner, more sustainable Sonoma County—together. Sonoma County requires all Sonoma County projects with a Building permit to recycle 100% of all inert materials (including but not limited to concrete, asphalt, soil, stone, and fines), and 65% of all other materials.
